Stayinghealthy is one of the starting points for a happy life. I will stayhealthy by ensuring that I take exercises daily for 30 minutes. Iwill also take a point of cycling to college and to friends place. Iwill be using the stairs instead of escalators all to ensure that Istay healthy and avoid lifestyle diseases (Veenhoven,2008).Consequently I will refrain from dangerous activities like drinkingalcohol, smoking or any other risky activity that may compromise mywell being. As the bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:19 “Or do you notknow that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own”
Spiritualself care entail the activity that one partakes so as to find andevoke a sense of connection to a divine power and meaning for his orher life (EntwistleMeraviglia,1999).My plan for personal self care will include meditation. Mediating for15 minutes every morning will help me detach from my thoughts byfocusing. I will also seek to find purpose in my life. With nopurpose in life, the routine activities become meaningless. To findpurpose in my life, I have to reflect on my thoughts, conflicts andbe ready to understand why things happen. Even in times of problems,I will refrain from lamenting. I will always be encouraged byJeremiah 29:11 which says “For I know the plans I have for you,"declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” In this verse I find apurpose for living.
Ultimately,I will keep close to my family, go out together during weekends. Iwill stay connected with friends by visiting them at least once aweek. This support is important for emotional and social stability(McMinn, 2011).
