Lifelonglearning process in health care has the helped me learn a number ofaspects that places my abilities as a healthcare provider in a betterposition. Some of the aspects that I have been able to acquirethroughout the learning period include:

  1. Create societal awareness on health issues

Throughoutthe course I have learnt how to intervene and increase awareness ofsocietal needs through providing opportunities. For instance duringthe Ebola outbreak I was involved in a campaign to teach the localson the best strategies to curb the spread of the disease.Additionally I have indulged myself in practices geared towardseradication of diseases from the society. Every course that has ahealth unit provides the learner with skills and knowledge that isimportant to the society and improvement of human life.

  1. Exercise Accountability

Accountabilitydenotes responsibility one has towards a given outcome at all times.Healthcare course teaches US on how we should become accountable inthe kind of activities that we do. Throughout the course I havelearnt that as a nurse in the society I ought to take responsibilityon the kind of treatment I give to the patients and the impact of myservices to the community.

  1. Establishing strong relationships in the society

Acommunity is not made of a single person and at no point can one beable to establish their careers without other supporting disciplines. For instance, the nursing profession will require an amalgamationwith such courses like psychology, technology and general behavioralstudies. This is because such subjects encompass important traitsthat ought embraced by nurses or healthcare providers in the society.

  1. Need for innovation and inventions

Healthcareis never different from other sectors like the information technologysector that has experienced tremendous changes in the past 20 years. However, it’s disappointing to note that the healthcare sector isamong the least developing sectors in the world owing to its approachof handling new cases. Thus, I have learnt that just like othersectors, healthcare should be at the forefront in adoption of thelatest approaches in the market. Patients are never the same, thus itis prudent to customize services to fit specific needs of thedifferent patients(

  1. Quality improvement

Qualityis a major aspect when it comes to healthcare provision in thesociety. For instance, if a particular hospital provides stale drugsor wrong subscriptions, there is a higher likelihood that the patientgiven such kind of treatment will become worse than they were before( Thus, throughout my course I have learnt the importance of always givingthe best treatment at all levels (Bate et al, 2009).

  1. Prevention is always better than cure

Researchhas revealed that most people in the rural areas have poor access tohealth facilities. Having at least an individual in a neighborhoodlike that can help save lives. For example, in a slum, there are manypeople who live in a dilapidated state (Daniels, 2009). The slumdwellers know no health matters and are always careless with life aslong as they can food on the table. For instance, I have always takena walk to the slums around my neighborhood to tell them abouthygiene. They have learned to observe hygiene and reduce cases ofdisease outbreak like cholera and typhoid (Wolper, 2011)

Learningexperience in healthcare matters has enabled to exerciseresponsibility and accountability by helping the community exercisehealthy habits to prevent diseases. We have learned that there arediseases that can be prevented by proper and healthy habits. Diseaseslike obesity can be controlled and even prevent if the society ismade aware of the health practices involved.

  1. Exercises matter

Frommy experience this semester, I have learned the importance of theplaying field set aside for kids in my estate (Daniels, 2009) Most ofthe kids in my neighborhood who are teenagers are suffering from thedisease. It is because they take a little time to get involved inphysical activities. Their eating habits also want because theymostly take junk food prepared in fast food restaurants. Educatingthem and their parents on the same may assist saving the futuresociety.

PositiveEducation experiences

  1. Emergence response (First aid)

Life-longlearning experiences have helped me increase my engagement with thesociety through response to emergencies (Bate et al., 2009). Manytimes people get involved in situations that are unexpected. Theymight be minor accidents or even major accidents if worse. Littleknowledge of healthcare may help save a life in such situations. Atleast in the neighborhood there should be one or more people withcertain special knowledge on health (Barritt, 2010). Life isimportant, and that little thing that a person does in a situationmay help another person live.

  1. Role of professionals

Life-longlearning has helped me to know the importance of healthcareprofessionals and appreciate their contribution to the society. Forexample, in the recent years, there has been a rise in cases ofpeople living with severe non-malignant diseases or advanced cancer(Wolper, 2011). Most of these people do not spend their last days inhospitals but rather at home. During the period, they are alwaystaken care of by general practitioners. The patient will be veryhappy whenever a general practitioner taking care of them duringtheir last days is a relative. More people get equipped withhealthcare skills that assist in such situations.

  1. Regulations and policies in healthcare

Throughoutthe course I have been able to learn some of the policies andregulations in the industry. Currently I can distinguish between whatis acceptable in the sector and what is not acceptable. For instance,a patient cannot be given drugs they have not been subscribed to by aqualified professional. This means that it is not all professionalsin the field who can subscribe drugs.
